Like the Highway Men of the 1950’s, Ernie is a self-taught outsider artist with a raw and instinctive individual expression. The war veteran now makes his home in South Florida, and his passion for painting takes him into a space of dreams where nature is colorful, inspiring and soothing.

This primitive piece uniquely depicts dark shadowlike trees with a moody sunset background in shades of black, green, and purple. It is signed in the lower left corner. It is presented in a rustic wood frame. This is an impressive original piece fit for any collection.
