A unique and majestic vintage Chinese sculpture of a leading ram (or mountain goat), sourced from a private collection. This charming piece beautifully combines dark, detailed bronze casting with vibrant cloisonné enamel.
The ram is posed standing proudly with its head held high, exuding a sense of strength and leadership. The head, majestic curled horns, neck mane, and the intricate rocky base are cast in solid bronze with a rich, dark patina. A traditional Chinese coin motif hangs from its neck, symbolizing wealth and good fortune.
The body of the ram is covered in brilliant cloisonné enamel, featuring a striking turquoise-blue background adorned with yellow, red, and purple stylized floral blossoms. The delicate wire-inlaid gold lines of the cloisonné add a layer of exquisite craftsmanship to this heavy piece (approx. 1260 g).
