This elegant vessel is a beautiful display of traditional craftsmanship and vibrant color.

The censer is crafted from solid bronze and richly decorated with intricate cloisonné (wire-inlaid) enamel work. The domed lid is finished in a deep crimson red, topped with a gilded finial shaped like a mythical bird or phoenix. The turquoise-blue body is adorned with colorful lotus scrolls and is flanked by two elaborate, gilded dragon (or Chilong) handles. It rests on three cabriole legs ending in beast-mask feet, which sit perfectly upon a matching cloisonné stand with ruyi-cloud motifs.

Weighing nearly 2 kg (4.2 lbs), this piece has a substantial, high-quality feel. The pierced lid allows for the release of fragrant incense smoke. It carries a beautiful, natural antique patina. This censer is a stunning decorative statement piece, perfect for a mantel, side table, or home office.
