matching pair of elegant Chinese porcelain Yuhuchunping (pear-shaped) vases, hand-decorated in vibrant famille rose enamel.
Each vase features a detailed scenic painting depicting a robed Chinese scholar seated in a lush pine landscape alongside a spotted deer, symbolic of wisdom, longevity and good fortune. The scene is framed with golden cloud scrollwork and pine tree motifs on a bright white porcelain ground. The graceful pear-shaped silhouette with flared rim is a classic traditional Chinese vase form.
Beautiful Chinoiserie statement decor for mantels, sideboards, console tables or bookcase styling. A wonderful decorative pair for Asian ceramic collectors.
