The whimsical design playfully satirizes European court musicians, depicting a monkey dressed in elaborate Rococo attire while performing as a member of an orchestra.

Standing approximately 13¼ inches tall, this finely detailed figurine portrays an anthropomorphic monkey trumpeter adorned in ornate 18th-century European court dress, finished in vibrant hand-painted colors with decorative gilt accents. Measuring approximately 5¾ inches wide and 4½ inches deep, the figure displays exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The monkey is depicted playing a short trumpet with a metallic gold-painted finish, held to its mouth with the left hand. It features expressive brown eyes beneath an elaborate light brown wig and wears a pastel yellow frock coat embellished with gold scrollwork on the shoulder flaps. A long pink waistcoat accented with tiny gold-painted buttons is paired with teal-green knee breeches, while a white cravat or ruffled jabot completes the elegant Rococo ensemble. Rich hand-painted detailing and whimsical character make this figurine a charming tribute to the famous Monkey Orchestra tradition. See less
