The … Read more An English oak joint stool from the early 20th Century with a dark stain and a wonderfully patinated surface. The rectangular seat is made from two planks of oak carved with ogee edges. The apron is decorated on all sides with narrow arches carved deeply into the wood. The stool sits on four turned oak legs with sturdy square block feet. Between the legs, stretcher bars are carved with lines of deeply carved ovals. The unique patterns and fine craftsmanship of this stool make it a unique and interesting addition to any space. Perfect for use as a footstool or ottoman, additional seating, or even as a low side table. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
