An early 19th-century French Provincial farmhouse table, sourced in Provence, France. Crafted from solid fruitwood, this generously proportioned table features a beautifully aged plank top with a warm honey-brown patina, supported by four gently tapered square legs. The traditional construction is highlighted by exposed wooden dowels along the legs and apron, reflecting the craftsmanship of the period. Two spacious drawers feature large, hand-cut dovetail joints, decorative iron pulls, and keyhole escutcheons, providing practical storage while complementing the table's rustic character. The tabletop displays a rich history of use, with naturally developed marks, scratches, worn edges, and variations in color that contribute to its distinctive patina. A gentle undulation through the center of the tabletop reflects the natural movement of the wood over time, adding to its authentic antique character. With its generous proportions and understated design, the table is equally suited for use as a farmhouse dining table, large writing desk, or worktable. Structurally revised, cleaned, and polished with wax. Solid and stable, with a naturally aged patina throughout, including surface wear, old marks, and irregularities consistent with its age and history.
