Offered is an exceptional, investment-grade piece of American design history: the L. & J.G. Stickley 91-178 "Gus" Window Bench. Released exclusively as the 2005 Limited Production Collector Edition, this minimalist form is an exact reissue of Gustav Stickley’s iconic circa 1901 Mission window bench. Production of the cherry frames was strictly capped at 625 globally, making this a highly sought-after acquisition for Arts & Crafts enthusiasts.
Crafted from solid wild black cherry wood with exposed mortise and tenon joinery, it features Stickley's traditional #3 finish, Warm Cherry (a hand-rubbed amber-red stain formulation specifically developed for their solid cherry lines). The bench retains its original premium Capri Henna burgundy red leather cushion, which is in excellent condition showing no major signs of wear, cracking, or fading.
Charming and architecturally pure, this rare, early-numbered bench is perfectly sized for an entryway, hallway, or placed under a window.
