A coordinated pair of vintage coastal color lithographs by Tom Nicholas, issued in 1977 by The Franklin Mint Gallery of Fine Art.
The set includes “Monterey Beach,” depicting the California coastline with a sculptural Monterey cypress, rocky cliffs, and seabirds, and “Winter Beach,” portraying the rugged Oregon coast with snow-covered rock formations, evergreen trees, and driftwood.
Soft blues, muted greens, warm earth tones, and creamy whites connect the two compositions while highlighting their contrasting coastal settings. Matching dark wood-tone frames with textured beige fabric liners give the pair a cohesive presentation suited to coastal, traditional, or rustic interiors.
Each work bears the artist’s signature and the date 1977 at the lower right. Certificates of authenticity attached to the backs identify the works as original color lithographs issued in limited edition and personally hand-signed by the artist.
“Winter Beach” and “Monterey Beach” are the second and fourth works, respectively, from a four-part seascape series. This listing includes only the two framed works pictured.
Displayed together above a console, sofa, or sideboard, they create an inviting coastal arrangement with vintage character.
