Oil on canvas. This is a copy of the famous painting by Esteban Murillo, dated around 1670-1675 and housed in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich. Murillo was one of the first European painters to depict scenes featuring children, portraying them in this painting in a carefree and serene manner, with optimism and joy, without moralizing. The work is presented in an early 20th-century frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
