The rectangular mirror plate is suspended between architectural column supports, allowing it to pivot and adjust to the desired viewing angle. The mahogany frame displays restrained classical proportions enhanced by contrasting gold-gilt decorative details. The substantial rectangular base incorporates a useful storage drawer, combining decorative refinement with the practical functionality traditionally associated with dressing and toilet mirrors. Of particular decorative appeal is the original-style aged mirror glass, which has developed extensive natural foxing over time, creating a beautifully atmospheric surface and enhancing the historic character of the piece.
