The Nevada mine produces this gorgeous color of Turquoise created in nature when zinc and iron content appears in the copper aluminum phosphate mineral changing the hue from blues to greens. The Apple Green/Lime Green is the most rare of green turquoise. The Carico Lake Mine has a very short mining season each year due to harsh winters and high-desert summers. It is named after a dried-up lake bed. This pair if stud earrings are fabulous featuring a setting of twisted rope accented sterling that holds a pear shaped green turquoise gemstone. The silversmith is Roger Skeet’s, a Navaho Dine artist born in 1933. The stamped initials and cursive-style word sterling is from the 1950s. A stunning heirloom set to add to your jewelry collection.
