A stunning masterpiece of modern Russian glass artistry, this hand-carved lead crystal goblet was produced by the acclaimed boutique workshop "Грань" (Gran) in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The vessel features a brilliant composition that seamlessly bridges intense geometric cutting with elegant pictorial realism. At the center is a beautifully detailed intaglio engraving of a peacock resting alongside a blooming rose branch. This scene is framed diagonally by deeply cut diamond-patterned ribbons that capture and refract light remarkably. The piece stands on an architectural, multi-tiered faceted stem that leads to a wide circular base delicately etched with a leaf wreath pattern.
Bearing its original green and gold "ГРАНЬ РОССИЯ С. ПЕТЕРБУРГ" factory label, this glass has exceptional weight, an echoing ring when tapped, and high clarity. An ideal showpiece for collectors of fine barware, global crystal, or centerpiece glass design.
