Each chair's manufacturer tag shows the Rosemead, California workshop, style no. AT45, and "Made for Lesko & Assoc." as the original client.

The inside backs have deep diamond tufting in a warm gold, slub-textured fabric, framed by a full row of antiqued nailheads. The seats are rounded and upholstered to match. The outer backs are covered in a charcoal ruched-stripe fabric with gold scroll embroidery, so the chairs look finished from every side. The frames are curved with flared sides, and the champagne-gold painted wood finish carries down to softly shaped cabriole legs.

These chairs fit a formal dining room in the Hollywood Regency or glam style, and they would also work as a set of statement side chairs. All six are sold together as a set.

Seat depth is 20 inches. At 25 inches wide, these chairs are generously sized. Seating three per side comfortably works best with a table at least 84 inches long.

Condition

Good vintage condition, with wear from age and use. The frames are solid and the tufting is intact. The champagne-gold painted finish has scattered chips and scuffs on the legs, mostly near the feet and lower edges. On at least one front leg, a chip shows the pale blue-gray undercoat. The gold seat fabric has natural slubs, and some seats show faint marks or light discoloration, including near the front edge. All wear is cosmetic and can be touched up easily.
