This exceptional piece of textile history represents the finest traditions of antique rugs. Hand-knotted from high-quality wool, the density and texture speak to the meticulous labor invested nearly two centuries ago, offering a tangible connection to early 19th-century craftsmanship.

The palette is striking, contrasting deep indigo borders with a field woven primarily in a light blue and white chevron pattern. While the overall effect aligns with the ivory Beige Cream White color categorization, the accents of soft rose and mustard gold provide unexpected warmth and complexity, typical of early 19th-century weaving.

The composition centers on a bold, highly stylized medallion and corresponding corner spandrels rendered in rich navy and subtle rose tones. The repeating patterns across the field and borders reinforce the rigorous structure of the overall geometric design, lending the piece a formal yet captivating symmetry.

Measuring in a desirable small scatter size (2ft x 3.06ft), this rug is a rare surviving example from the early 1800s.
