In 1884 Giovanni Barovier and his nephews Giuseppe, Benvenuto and Benedetto, glass masters acquired ownership of the Salviati furnace, founded in 1877, after Salviati Dott’s departure. The company was renamed Artisti Barovier in 1896 the glassworks was established and undertook fruitful period of advance innovation and significant developments in the art and craft of glass production.
