When opened, it reveals an inset oxblood-red leather surface for cards, games, or writing. The edge of the top is carved with a geometric border, and the table sits above a shaped apron. It stands on baluster legs with turned and acanthus-carved sections, joined by a box stretcher on block feet.

The oak has a deep, rich patina, and the red leather against the dark wood gives the table striking presence. Closed, it’s a slim 16.5 inches deep, which suits an entry, a hallway, or the space behind a sofa. Open, it becomes a 33-inch square table, ready for a game of cards or a small writing desk.
