A charming vintage Delft blue pottery planter featuring a traditional Dutch windmill landscape hand-painted in cobalt blue against a creamy white glaze. Its rounded, bulbous shape, gently tapered base and narrow opening give this small planter a distinctive silhouette.
The planter commemorates the 75th anniversary of Blom & Van der Aa, with the inscription “Blom & Van der Aa 1887–75 Jaar–1962” incorporated into the decoration. A wonderful little piece of Dutch history, equally appealing as a decorative accent or displayed with a small artificial plant.
The underside is marked “Delfts Blauw,” “Handpainted” and “Made in Holland.”
Measures approximately 5 inches across and 2.75 inches tall.
In good vintage condition with several visible chips and areas of glaze loss around the raised rim, along with minor signs of age and handling.
