Crafted with deep high-relief carving across its curled mane, flame patterns and muscular body, finished with textured mud gilding showing rich mottled gold and dark aged patina. The beast’s open mouth functions as the smoke outlet, with the hollow body designed to hold incense.

Wangtianhou symbolizes guardianship and vigilance in Chinese mythology. This substantial sculptural censer works beautifully as a statement centerpiece for studies, meditation rooms, mantels and chinoiserie interiors, ideal for burning incense or simply as a striking decorative art collectible.
