This impressive piece features a beautifully detailed standing crane supporting the domed vessel, all resting upon a sturdy turtle base.

The vessel boasts a stunning, heavy verdigris patina (oxidized green and brown finish) that gives it the appearance of an excavated ancient treasure. The pierced lid features intricate mountain motifs, traditionally designed to let incense smoke drift out like mist over a mystical peak.

In Asian symbolism, the turtle represents longevity, while the crane symbolizes immortality, making this a highly auspicious decorative object. Standing at nearly 20 inches tall and weighing over 6 lbs, this is a heavy, museum-quality statement piece perfect for a collector of Asian antiquities, a study, or an elegant living room. See less
