A sculptural black vase with a rounded teardrop body, tapered shoulders, and a gently flared rim. Its smooth, highly reflective surface catches the light in charcoal and silvery-gray tones, emphasizing the graceful silhouette.
The vase bears an incised signature reading “Efrain Lucero” and is attributed to the Mata Ortiz potter of that name, from Chihuahua, Mexico. The restrained, unadorned finish lets the form take center stage.
