The Road Before Me - Acrylic Painting Landscape
18 x 24 canvas panel
Unframed. Frames shown are sample only.
Signed: Haas
An original acrylic painting of a woman set against a colorful rolling landscape of green fields, winding paths, and distant blue mountains. Her elongated features, expressive eyes, tilted head, and bold outlines give the portrait a modernist, expressive character, while the vivid blues, greens, coral, and warm earth tones create a lively contrast.
The woman is an original figure created from my own imagination, rather than a portrait of a specific person. The painting draws inspiration from the elongated forms and expressive qualities associated with early modernist portraiture in the style of Modigliani, but the composition, figure, landscape, and painting are entirely my own.
Painted in acrylic with visible brushwork and layered color, this piece has a spontaneous, painterly quality that allows the colors and shapes to remain expressive rather than overly refined.
