Inspired by the elaborate decorative traditions of Venice and the historicist revival of Baroque and Rococo ornament, this striking sculptural lamp combine figural artistry, richly gilded surfaces, and elaborate candelabra forms to create a dramatic and luxurious decorative statement.
The lamp features a finely modeled standing male figure with a dark, lustrous finish, dressed in a flowing gilt drapery wrapped around the waist. The figure is depicted in a supporting pose, holding aloft an ornate multi-arm candelabrum. The elaborate gilt-wood light fittings feature gracefully curved arms, scrolling foliage, decorative finials, and candle-style electric lights.
