Up for sale is an absolutely stunning, rare mid-century Capodimonte porcelain figurine meticulously hand-crafted by the renowned Italian master sculptor Rori for the prestigious La Medea studio in Naples, Italy.
This highly detailed narrative sculpture depicts an expressive street artist at his wooden easel, captured mid-stroke as he paints the iconic Torre dell'Orologio (St Mark's Clock Tower) in Venice. The level of intricate detail on this piece is breathtaking—featuring an artist's palette with vibrant oil paint dollops, individual scattered paint tubes on the cobblestone floor, a water pitcher filled with spare brushes, and two completely separate miniature canvas landscape paintings leaning against his stool.
On the back of the primary easel, the historic landmark title is elegantly handwritten in script: "Venezia: Torre dell'Or".
Authenticity & Markings:
• Signature: Master sculptor "Rori" signature is deeply incised directly into the porcelain base.
• Hallmark: Features a crisp, prominent underglaze blue Crowned "N" stamp on the front scrollwork of the base, verifying authentic Neapolitan Capodimonte heritage.
• Documentation: Includes the original vintage red and gold La Medea Certificato Garanzia hanging tag.
• Note on Tag: The original paper hanging tag is completely intact but displays minor surface paper loss/sticker residue on the front where a thrift store price tag was previously attached (clearly shown in photos). The figurine itself is completely unaffected and perfect.
Dimensions:
• Standard large-scale narrative group showcase size (approx. 9-10 inches high).
Shipping & Handling:
Due to the incredibly fragile nature of fine Italian Capodimonte porcelain, this piece will be professionally wrapped, double-boxed, and heavily padded with premium bubble wrap to guarantee safe transit to your collection. Fully insured shipping with signature tracking will be provided.
