A striking antique door knocker in cast brass featuring an ornate classical figural face framed by richly detailed foliate scrollwork. This decorative architectural accent has wonderful old-world character, with a warm aged patina and sculptural presence that makes it equally appealing as functional hardware or as a decorative object.
The design showcases a beautifully modeled face surrounded by leafy, laurel-like detailing and a substantial hinged knocker. Its distinctive form and aged finish would work well on a traditional entry door, or displayed as part of a collection of antique architectural elements.
The knocker has a blank plate that could be engraved with the household's name.
A handsome piece for neoclassical, Victorian, eclectic, or European-inspired interiors.
