Crafted from solid copper/bronze, the figures feature intricate gold inlay (cuo jin) and a rich, archaeological-style patina with heavy green oxidation (verdigris).

Symbolism & Design:
In Chinese culture, the horse is a powerful symbol of strength, perseverance, and success (as in the idiom "Ma Dao Cheng Gong" - immediate success upon arrival).

The Horses: The pair are captured in energetic, active poses. One stands proudly with its head held high, while the other is depicted with a raised front leg (prancing). Their bodies are richly decorated with swirling, archaistic gold-inlaid patterns (likely stylized clouds or flame motifs).

The Stands: Each horse is mounted on an integrated, decorative circular base with a raised rim and a dark, weathered patina.

The Finish: The bronze shows a dark base patina heavily accented with natural green verdigris, contrasting beautifully with the bright gold inlays. This gives them a museum-quality, ancient aesthetic. See less
