A striking Art Nouveau-style jardiniere combining dramatic botanical ornament with substantial sculptural metalwork. A large, richly textured black-finished bowl is supported by a separate silver-tone metal stand, elaborately modeled with dimensional water-lily leaves, blossoms, and a graceful dragonfly with intricately detailed wings.
The contrast between the deeply textured dark bowl and the luminous botanical metalwork gives the piece an especially compelling presence. The naturalistic forms and fluid composition recall the organic design language of the Art Nouveau movement, while its generous proportions make it equally appealing as a decorative centerpiece or architectural accent.
Measuring approximately 16 inches wide and 13 inches high, with a 13-inch bowl opening, this is an exceptionally substantial piece weighing 43 pounds, 12 ounces.
