Each mirror is housed within a silver leaf frame featuring ringed columns that support a prominent projecting cornice, drawing inspiration from the symmetry and monumental forms of classical architecture.

The elegant vertical format enhances the perception of height and makes these mirrors particularly well suited for placement between windows, flanking a doorway, fireplace, console table, or architectural feature. Their matching design creates a strong decorative statement while remaining understated and sophisticated.

The original silvered finish has acquired an aged patina over time, emphasizing the depth of the carved details. The ringed columns, molded bases, and geometric frieze beneath the cornice reflect the restrained ornamentation typical of neoclassical design.

Both mirrors retain their original antique mirror plates, which display age-related spotting, foxing, and areas of oxidation. These imperfections contribute to the historic character of the pair.

Good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. The silver leaf frames show wear, age-related patina, and minor losses consistent with their age. The original mirror glass exhibits spotting, foxing, and oxidation throughout. See less
