Woven in China from wool and cotton, the tapestry draws inspiration from the decorative verdure and heraldic textiles historically associated with European interiors. Its central field is dominated by large, curling acanthus-like leaves in deep teal, muted blue-green, sage, dusty aqua, and slate blue. These overlapping forms create an intricate pattern of movement and depth, while delicate flowering stems weave gracefully between the larger leaves.
