The cylindrical form draws on Neoclassical design, while the warm, naturally developed patina lends the piece the character of an object collected over generations.

The openwork detailing creates a lovely sense of lightness, contrasting with the substantial brass body and architectural animal-form feet. Raised circular bosses add further dimension, giving this otherwise restrained form a distinctive decorative presence.

Equally appealing in an English country library, a French-inspired sitting room, or a traditional conservatory, the cachepot is particularly effective with a small fern or topiary in a protective liner. It also makes a wonderful decorative vessel on an antique console, mantel, or garden-room table.
