This magnificent example of Chinese Art Deco weaving presents a luxurious, deeply saturated field perfectly suited for a room size format. The early 20th-century aesthetic is defined by its clean, rectangular composition and plush, hand-knotted wool pile.

The dominant hue is a rich, velvety red, which transitions subtly to a lighter red tone in the wide border. This sophisticated and highly sought-after red color palette provides a dramatic backdrop that remains both warm and commanding, characteristic of the finest pieces from this era.

True to the Art Deco movement, the design employs negative space brilliantly, allowing the deep field to emphasize the two opposing corner bouquets. These stylized arrangements feature chrysanthemums and peonies rendered in soft creams, blues, and golds, establishing it among the most exquisite floral rugs of the period.

Hand-knotted from high-quality wool, this piece exhibits the exceptional craftsmanship that defines early 20th-century Chinese production. As a genuine example of antique rugs, its enduring structure and vibrant, unfaded coloration make it a compelling investment piece for collectors seeking historical elegance and graphic clarity.
