This is a beautiful matched pair of antique candlesticks by Derby Silver Company, pattern number 2547. These are classic early 20th century American silver plate, with elegant neoclassical detailing and a wonderful soft matte patina.
The form is tall and architectural with richly molded floral and geometric motifs throughout the shafts and wide weighted bases. They have a very refined, almost museum-like presence and display beautifully even without candles.
Condition is very good antique condition. There is some natural tarnish and a bit of old wax residue, along with very slight bending at the tops, consistent with age and use. No cracks or structural issues noted.
