A striking pair of French Art Deco bookends featuring two beautifully modeled seated dogs, signed Jamar, circa 1930.
Each dog is depicted in an alert, attentive pose, with upright ears, an expressive face, and finely detailed collars. Their dark patinated metal finish is accented by warm golden highlights, creating a beautiful contrast with the richly veined pink-and-white marble bases.
The symmetrical composition, sculptural presence, and distinctive period character make this pair an elegant addition to a curated library, study, or collector's interior.
