This beautiful rectangular box is crafted from dark, richly grained wood (resembling rosewood or zitan) and adorned with striking gold-toned corner mounts. The lid is the focal point, featuring two large, intricately carved white jade (or hardstone) plaques in a semi-circular shape. These plaques are reticulated (pierced) with detailed scenes, likely depicting figures or floral motifs, and are accented with small, colored stones.
Key Features:
Design: A classic rectangular form with a fitted lid. The dark wood is contrasted by ornate, gold-painted or metal corner brackets.
Jade Inlay: The two prominent white plaques are the highlight, showcasing delicate openwork carving. They are inset into the lid, creating a stunning visual impact.
Material: Constructed from heavy, solid wood (approx. 1060g total weight) with stone/jade inlays and metallic accents.
Function: Perfect for storing jewelry, keepsakes, or important documents, or simply as a stunning decorative object on a coffee table, dresser, or bookshelf.
