Elevate your study or library with this striking, large-scale neoclassical wall maquette by Architectural Heritage. Crafted in the late 1990s / early 2000s from solid, warm-toned basswood, this architectural relief is a faithful reproduction of Michelangelo’s famous 1518 unexecuted wooden model for the facade of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Florence.
Featuring crisp, Academic-tier detailing—including stacked classical columns, pedimented roofline, and deep blind niches—the flat-backed sculpture functions beautifully as high-end dimensional wall art. Verso is finished with heavy-duty brass ring hangers for flush mounting. A premier find for collectors of Grand Tour style, architectural salvage, and classical Italian design.
