A finely made Chinese incense burner in solid copper with a silver wash, preserved in excellent condition.
A pair of dragon-form ears springs from the shoulders, while the openwork lid is crowned by a coiled-dragon finial; the vessel rests on three elephant-head feet — motifs of power, wisdom and good fortune. The body carries finely detailed coiled-dragon carving in a warm copper tone accented with silver.
