The cabinet features a rich reddish-brown rosewood veneer with beautifully figured grain, complemented by decorative brass mounts and finely executed gilt-metal detailing.
The rectangular top has a clean, projecting molded edge above a single full-width drawer, adorned with an ornate brass pull. Beneath the drawer, a pair of front doors feature distinctive elongated octagonal panels fitted with dark metal wire mesh, framed by rosewood borders and delicate brass trim. Decorative gilt-brass appliqués, including fan-shaped foliate motifs, embellish the corners of the doors and the surrounding framework, creating an attractive contrast against the warm tones of the wood. The doors are fitted with brass escutcheons and hardware, while the cabinet's front corners are defined by turned, column-like supports with brass bands and rounded feet. A solid lower rail completes the architectural composition.
With its balanced proportions, elegant detailing, and combination of rosewood, wire mesh, and brass ornamentation, this versatile piece can serve as a dining room server, a compact storage cabinet, or a decorative console in an entryway, living room, or study. Measuring 36 inches wide, 35 inches high, and 15.5 inches deep, it offers practical storage while maintaining a relatively modest footprint.

Made in England in the late 19th century, this distinctive antique cabinet brings nineteenth-century English craftsmanship and timeless decorative appeal to both traditional and eclectic interiors. See less
