A large ovoid stoneware vase by American studio potter Mark Untener, c. 1990s–2000s. The shoulder carries a deeply carved teal band of flowing feather lines with pierced "eye" cutouts. Below it, the body fades from cream to warm terracotta-rust. It makes a strong sculptural accent for a console, mantel or bookcase.
Approx. 12 in (30 cm) high and about 10 in (25 cm) across at the widest point, with a mouth of about 6.25 in (16 cm).
Signed by Mark Untener on the base (see photo). Good vintage condition, original and unaltered, with minor imperfections consistent with age. Local pickup available in San Ramon, CA.
