Rustic Japanese wooden stool dating from 1950–1960, featuring a simple design and a warm, timeworn patina.
Dimensions: H 25 × W 37 × D 14.5 cm
The stool features a solid wooden seat, two angled legs and a horizontal supporting stretcher. Visible metal fastenings, natural wood grain and signs of wear highlight its handcrafted character.
Originally, this type of stool was used in Japanese households as a small step stool to reach higher shelves or stored belongings.
Today, it also serves beautifully as a low display stand for ceramics, plants or other decorative objects. Its understated construction and warm wood tones reflect the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic.
Good vintage condition with normal scratches, areas of wear, small cracks and signs of use consistent with age.
