This refined piece of vintage Italian furniture embodies the luxurious aesthetic and architectural elegance characteristic of Italian design during the second half of the 20th century. Elegant Italian Design The bookcase is distinguished by its sophisticated use of contrasting materials, combining the warm, reflective surfaces of polished brass with the natural beauty and texture of wood. The brass side structures create a distinctive architectural framework, lending the piece a sense of lightness and elegance while emphasizing its geometric proportions. The wooden shelves provide an attractive contrast to the metallic elements, resulting in a harmonious composition that is both decorative and functional. This combination of materials was particularly appreciated in Italian furniture design during the 1960s and 1970s, when designers explored the relationship between luxurious finishes, modern geometry and refined craftsmanship. Italian Modernism and 1970s Glamour The bookcase reflects the sophisticated decorative language associated with Italian Mid-Century Modern and Hollywood Regency interiors, where polished brass, elegant proportions and luxurious materials played an important role. Its clean architectural lines and contrasting finishes make it a versatile piece, equally suited to vintage, contemporary and eclectic interiors. The reflective brass surfaces introduce warmth and luminosity, while the wooden shelves provide practical display space for books, sculptures, ceramics and decorative objects.

Impressive Architectural Presence Measuring 180 cm (70.9 inches) high and 139 cm (54.7 inches) wide, this bookcase possesses a substantial yet elegant presence. Its relatively shallow depth of 35 cm (13.8 inches) makes it particularly suitable for living rooms, libraries, offices, galleries or sophisticated residential interiors. It can serve both as a functional bookcase and as an architectural display unit for an important collection of decorative objects. A beautiful example of 1970s Italian vintage furniture, distinguished by its polished brass structure, wooden shelving and timeless modernist elegance.
