Lister Material: Oil on Board, Wood An atmospheric vintage landscape painting by M. Lister, depicting a tranquil view of Lake Coniston seen through a foreground of trees. Executed in oil on board, the composition makes subtle and restrained use of colour to capture the peaceful character of the Lake District landscape. The framing of the distant lake through the trees gives the work a strong sense of depth, while the detailed treatment of the surrounding vegetation adds texture and visual interest. The painting demonstrates an appealing balance between naturalistic detail and atmospheric handling, creating a decorative and highly pleasing landscape scene. Presented within a cream-coloured frame displaying some light distressing and signs of age, complementing the character of the artwork. Artist: M.
