Made by hand in solid pine in Dalarna around 1860. There are traces of a date in the middle of the back where you can just make out 186, the last digit is harder to see. In addition to the date there is a set of initials which has also faded with time. The bench is in charming untouched original condition with a well-preserved original paint. There are some minor marks and traces of use, mainly on the seat where the paint has been worn off. Generous storage underneath the seat. At the top of the right gable there is a hole where a stick would be rested to keep the lid open - see picture. Healthy and stable frame. Please observe the pillows are not included. See less
