This is a beautiful pair of vintage cloisonné enamel vases, featuring a classic baluster form with a flared mouth. The vases are decorated with a vibrant, golden-yellow enamel ground, overlaid with an intricate design of auspicious symbols.
The primary motif features graceful red-crowned cranes in flight, surrounded by stylized, swirling auspicious clouds (ruyi) in shades of blue, white, and pink. The cranes are detailed with black and white feathers, symbolizing longevity and peace. The neck of each vase is adorned with a band of red and blue lappets, below which sits a stylized pink and green lotus or floral spray. A band of scalloped blue petals encircles the shoulder, and the lower section features a row of small, colorful floral medallions. The vases are finished with brass rims at the mouth and base.
The base of each vase bears a recessed, dark circular foot with an incised, four-character seal mark. These elegant vases are perfect for displaying small floral arrangements or as striking stand-alone decorative accents.
