The wood has been carefully carved and shaped, emphasizing craftsmanship, it has an organic, cylindrical shape with a unique wavy, jagged top, which adds a dramatic flair. The body is punctuated with multiple irregular, oval-shaped cutouts or holes. These perforations give it a more abstract, contemporary aesthetic while also adding visual depth. Surface: The wood's polished, glossy surface contrasts with the raw, sculpted edges of the openings, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The interior of the holes seems to reveal a slightly different texture or tone of wood, possibly indicating a layered effect. The vase has mid-century modern taste and even has an art piece influenced by organic modernism, where natural forms are abstracted. While it is designed as a vase, the cutouts suggest that it may be more of a decorative object, meant to stand out as a statement piece. This vintage wooden vase would likely be appreciated for both its artistry and its unique craftsmanship, blending natural materials with abstract, modern design. See less
