Up for sale is an exquisite, high-quality mid-century statement piece crafted in the manner of Maison Jansen and LaBarge. This half-moon (demilune) console features a masterful blend of heavy wrought iron legs and a thick, solid cast brass decorative frieze.
The brass apron is incredibly detailed, showcasing an intricate, deep-relief pattern of flowers, leaves, and hanging fruit clusters. The slender, elegant iron legs arch gracefully down to highly sought-after cloven animal hoof (pied-de-biche) feet—a classic hallmark of fine French revival design.
The table is complete with its original, exceptionally thick custom-cut glass top that has minor scratches, and is excellent for its age.. A perfect accent piece for an entryway, hallway, foyer, or behind a sofa.
