This elegant vintage trinket box is a beautiful example of traditional lacquerware. Crafted with a wood core, the circular box is finished in a glossy, deep black lacquer. The domed lid is exquisitely hand-painted in gold gilt, featuring a central stylized floral motif surrounded by scrolling foliate vines and leaves.
The sides of both the lid and the base are decorated with intricate gilt patterns, including stylized circular medallions and auspicious symbols. The box separates smoothly to reveal an unpolished, natural wood interior, typical of this traditional craft. This piece is perfect for storing small treasures, jewelry, or for use as a decorative accent on a desk or vanity.
