Pair of vintage 1960s mid-century modern armchairs by Stanley Furniture. Original production label identifies these as Model 407-80 armchairs.
Beautiful sculptural design with wide curved wood backs, tapered legs and long curved arms. Warm walnut-tone wood finish with cream textured upholstered seats. Strong Scandinavian modern influence.
Both chairs are sturdy and present well, with normal vintage finish wear, scratches and marks consistent with age. Upholstery is older and shows light age-related wear. One chair is missing a small wooden cover plug at the upper back support; this is cosmetic and does not affect use or stability. Please see photos.
