Elegant Chinese rouleau style porcelain vase with a rich deep navy blue base, decorated in vibrant famille rose enamel and fine gilded outlines. The body features large medallions centered on blooming lotus flowers, paired with traditional golden Shou longevity emblems, bats and scrolling foliate patterns.
Bats and Shou characters are classic symbols of good fortune, health and long life in Chinese decorative art.
The tall straight cylindrical body is accented with geometric key fret borders at the rim and foot. A refined Chinoiserie statement piece for console tables, mantels, bookshelf vignettes and formal interior styling.
