Impressive Chinese blue and white ceramic jar hand-painted with the auspicious Fu Lu Shou trio of immortals, traditional figures symbolizing fortune, status and longevity. The scene is set among cloud and mountain landscape details, accented with floral ruyi border motifs along the shoulder and inscribed script at the rim.
The substantial jar has a wide flared mouth and sturdy rounded body, with soft aged creamy glaze and deep cobalt blue decoration. A commanding statement piece for mantels, large consoles or bookcase styling, perfect for Chinoiserie interiors and collectors of Chinese folk porcelain.
