The foundation is formed by a reclining mythical beast supporting a patterned stem and pierced openwork lid. The lid is densely carved with twisting dragons and guardian figures, designed for incense smoke to drift through the cut-outs. Traces of original painted pigment remain on the copper surface, paired with a deep aged patina. A dramatic statement decor piece for Chinoiserie interiors, altar styling, and curio cabinet display.
